While head coach Todd Bowles didn’t explicitly say so Thursday, he said, “Everyone who is healthy will play.” Brady returned to training camp this week from an 11-day absence for unspecified “personal issues.”
Tretter Announces Retiring
Former Cleveland Browns center JC Tretter announced Thursday that he’s retiring, but he is staying on in his position as president of the NFL Players Association union after he was elected earlier this year for a second term.
Tretter, who played nine seasons for the Browns and the Green Bay Packers, told ‘Sports Illustrated’ he believes his union work played a role in him not being re-signed after the Browns released him in March.
Araiza, Leonard, Ewalkiko Accused of Gang Rape
Buffalo Bills rookie punter Matt Araiza and two of his former San Diego State teammates, Zavier Leonard and Nowlin Ewaliko, were accused of gang raping a 17-year-old in a lawsuit Thursday.
Araiza is accused of forcing the girl to have sex with him outside an off-campus party last October, and then bringing her in a room with at least three other men, including Leonard and Ewaliko, where she was repeatedly raped.
She went to police the next day. Detectives recently gave their findings to the DA to determine if charges should be filed. Araiza’s lawyer called the accusation false and a “shakedown.”
