Veteran linebacker Anthony Barr is staying with the Dallas Cowboys. He reached a one-year agreement with the team, worth $2 million to $3 million.

 

Saints Penning Kicked Out Of Practice

New Orleans Saint rookie player Trevor Penning was kicked out of training camp practice Wednesday after getting into a fight with a teammate. It was his third post-whistle scuffle in three days.

“We don’t have time for that,” said head coach Dennis Allen.

The Saints drafted Penning out of Northern Iowa as the number 19 pick in the 2022 NFL draft.

 

Arizona's Brown Arrested

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown, known as “Hollywood” Brown, was arrested Wednesday morning on speeding charges, according to a report in ArizonaSports.com. He has been sidelined from practice this week by a hamstring injury.

 

NFL Demanding Harsher Penalty For Watson

The NFL is demanding a harsher penalty for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson than the six-game suspension handed down by a disciplinary officer.
The league filed an appeal Wednesday afternoon. Watson was accused of sexual assault and other misconduct in civil lawsuits filed by 25 women. The alleged incidents occurred in 2020 and 2021 when he was with the Houston Texans.
