Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said Wednesday that he’s retiring, an unexpected move that comes soon after quarterback Tom Brady said he was coming back 40 days after retiring in February.

Defense coordinator Todd Bowles is taking over from Arians, who will move into a front-office position, working with general manager Jason Licht.

Arians led the Bucs for three seasons, which included a Super Bowl title in the 2020 season, Brady’s first with the team.
