Three NFL Head Coaches Fired Monday

Three NFL head coaches were fired on Monday, the day after the end of the regular season: the Minnesota Vikings’ Mike Zimmer, the Chicago Bears’ Matt Nagy, and the Miami Dolphins’ Brian Flores.

Flores was the biggest surprise, after he led the team back from a 1-7 start to end the season at 9-8. Owner Stephen Ross hinted at communication issues.

 

Seahawks' Smith Arrested On DUI

Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Geno Smith was arrested early Monday on suspicion of DUI by the Washington State Patrol, according to records, with no other information immediately available.

Smith said in a tweet, “I’m asking all of you to hold back on judging me the same as you would do for a friend or family member."

Smith played in three-plus games in October that Russell Wilson missed with a broken finger.
