The Effingham Football Hearts are dealing with inexperience, a tough schedule, and big expectations after the success of recent seasons. Ready or not, it'll be a Football Friday Night this Friday night.
The Hearts are headed to Decatur to take on a new opponent, the St. Teresa Bulldogs. Kickoff will be at 7pm, with pre-game coverage starting at 6:45pm. Hear the action on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com.
Effingham made the most of the 2020 season, which ended up being played in early 2021 due to COVID-19. The Hearts went 5-0 and won the Apollo Conference championship. That abbreviated campaign followed seasons featuring 9, 9 and 11 wins including a Final Four appearance in 2019.
