Stoneburner Signs w/McKendree

Many an opponent of the Effingham Hearts didn't relish a Friday night when they tangled with the Hearts football team the past few seasons, especially if they had to battle the guy wearing #44...Jacob Stoneburner.

The senior held his formal signing ceremony Tuesday to indicate his plans to attend McKendree University in Lebanon. Stoneburner will continue his football career, but also plans to major in Psychology.

Helping other football players achieve their best is what you'll hear from "Stoney". He said that's in part because of the help and encouragement he has received through the years from those players who have gone before him. 

Hearts football coach Brett Hefner said Stoneburner made it a point in conditioning not to go to other seniors, but to the younger players to encourage them.
