“We are excited that Nathan has decided to continue his career in academics and athletics at Millikin University,” said Etherton.

Vail was a two year letter winner in football at Effingham High School where he played quarterback. As a senior, Vail was team captain and won his team’s Hustle Award. Vail passed for 1,028 yards on 69-180 passing with eight touchdowns. He rushed for 409 yards and three touchdowns.

An Honor Roll student, Vail is a member of the National Honor Society and was a United States National Honor Student award winner. Nathan is the son of Jeffrey and Melissa Vail.
