Although Effingham HIgh School's football game against Taylorville was canceled, three other games were played over the weekend.

In Friday action, Mount Zion trounced Lincoln, 65-6 while Mahomet-Seymour was a 35-3 winner over Charleston. In a Saturday non-conference contest, Monticello blanked Mattoon, 36-0.

This week's schedule Friday includes Mount Zion at Effingham, Charleston at Taylorville, Lincoln at Mattoon and Mahomet-Seymour at Tolono Unity.

Effingham and Mount Zion are tied atop the conference standings with 3-0 records followed by Mahomet-Seymour 2-2, Charleston 1-2, Mattoon 1-2, Taylorville 0-1 and Lincon 0-3.
