Hearts Look to Keep a Good Thing Going Friday Night at Mattoon

The Effingham Flaming Hearts to look to remain undefeated as they travel to Mattoon Friday night to take on the Green Wave.
The Apollo Conference can be heard on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com. Kickoff will be at 7pm.
The Hearts are 2-0 after an opening night win at Mahomet-Seymour 21-7 and a victory on Homecoming last night Friday night 34-14 over Charleston. Mattoon is 1-1 following an opening night loss to Mt. Zion 21-7, then a 19-14 victory last week over Taylorville. The Green Wave trailed 14-12 before a 76-yard return following an interception gave Mattoon the win.
Coach Brett Hefner said there no changes in starters this week on either side of the ball.
