Just months after a car crash that left most wondering whether he would play again, Effingham High School senior Tristin Duncan has committed to play college football at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
Duncan Tweeted Wednesday a list of thank yous in making his announcement, including his mom and dad and family, his coaches, and his teammates. He also thanked the coaches at the other schools that had been in the hunt for him.
Duncan was delivering food for Joe's Pizza and Pasta on a rainy October evening when his car spun out of control on West Evergreen Avenue and crashed into a truck. He was out of the hospital within days and was cleared to resume football related activities when blood on his brain dissipated. Now, he's getting ready to play football for the Hearts and then getting ready for college ball.
