Bears Resign Nate Collins
The Chicago Bears have resigned defensive tackle Nate Collins to a one-year deal. Collins will make $715,000 in 2013. The 25-year-old played nine games with Chicago last season, compiling 11 tackles and one pass defended. The Virginia product had 10 tackles and half a sack in his rookie season with Jacksonville in 2011.
Jackson Heading To Atlanta
Steven Jackson is heading to Atlanta. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Falcons have agreed to a three-year contract with the veteran running back. The 29-year-old had spent his entire nine-year career with the St. Louis Rams, rushing for more than 10,000 yards and 56 touchdowns. Jackson has eight straight 1,000-yard seasons. He rushed for 1,042 yards and four scores in 2012. Jackson fills the void left by the release of running back Michael Turner.
