Malcolm Jenkins of the New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks’ Carlos Hyde, as well as civil rights activist Reverend Al Sharpton are saying the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell’s statements since George Floyd's death won’t be enough unless they apologize to Colin Kaepernick or he’s signed.

Jenkins said Tuesday, “Until they apologize . . . or assign him to a team, I don’t think that they will end up on the right side of history.” Hyde said Monday, “I think if they sign Kap back, that’ll show that they’re really trying to move in a different direction.” And Sharpton said during Floyd’s funeral Tuesday, “Give Colin Kaepernick a job back. Don’t come with some empty apology.”
