Panthers Fire Head Coach Ron Rivera

The Carolina Panthers fired head coach Ron Rivera Tuesday after nearly nine seasons. The Panthers are in the midst of a four-game losing streak and announced that secondary coach Perry Fewell will serve as interim coach for the rest of 2019.

 

Josh Shaw Appeals Suspension

Arizona Cardinals defensive back Josh Shaw has appealed his suspension for violating the NFL’s gambling policy. Shaw was suspended through the 2020 season after the NFL found he’d bet on league games on multiple occasions, including a three-team parlay on November 10th, in which he bet against his own team.

 

Saints Re-sign Manti Te'o

The New Orleans Saints have re-signed veteran linebacker Manti Te'o. Te'o has been out of the NFL this season after two seasons with the Saints, who’ve been hit with injuries at the position. 

 

Four Teams Hold Down Top Spot

Ohio State, LSU, Clemson and Georgia continue to hold down the top four spots in the College Football Playoff rankings. Next in line are Utah and Oklahoma heading into this weekend's conference championship games.
