EHS' Shackelford Named All-State, Duncan HM

Effingham High School's Nate Shackelford was named to the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Class 4A All-State Team.

Shackelford, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior, is the quarterback for the Hearts. He has connected on 146 of 219 passes for 2,459 yards this year, for 32 touchdowns. He has rushed 105 times for 778 yards, scoring 11 touchdowns.
Named Honorable Mention went to Effingham's Tristin Duncan. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound junior wide receiver had 63 receptions for 1,273 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Other members of the Class 4A All-State Team are Nick Walker (LB/RB), Bethalto Civic Memorial; Manny Harris (RB/DB), Kankakee Bishop McNamara; Marcus Granderson (QB/DB), Chicago Sullivan; Daniel Jezik (RB) and Austin Pullara (LB/TE), Coal City; Nic Horner (QB), Columbia; Kevin Cooke (RB/LB), IC Catholic Prep; Alex Merio (QB), Illinois Valley Central; Kavon Russell (WR/DB), Kewanee; Finn Schirmer (RB), Marengo; Zane Caraway (LB) and Jameirr Frazier (OL), Murphysboro; Josh Woodrey (DT), Prairie Central; Dalton Wood (LB), Richmond-Burton; Trevor Greene (LB/RB), Salem; Connor Schmidt (OL), St. Francis and Jared Routh (RB/DB), Unity.
Named to the Class 5A All-State Team was Mount Zion's Sage Davis, RB/LB, senior, 6-foot-1, 225 pounds.
Named to the Class 2A All-State Team was Shelbyville's Kentrell Beck, QB, senior, 6-foot-2, 205 pounds.
Named to the Class 3A All-State Team was Vandalia's Anthony Enlow, OL/DL, senior, 6-foot-4, 320 pounds.
