Browns Cut Safety Jermaine Whitehead

The Cleveland Browns have cut safety Jermaine Whitehead after he sent a series of tweets following Sunday’s game. In one tweet, Whitehead responded to Browns broadcaster Dustin Fox calling his tackling “a joke,” with a slur and told him not to “get smoked.” Whitehead also threatened to shoot, kill and fight several fans. Whitehead’s Twitter account was also suspended.

 

Miami Dolphins running back Mark Walton has been suspended four games for violating the NFL conduct and substance abuse policy. The suspension was handed down because of Walton's three offseason arrests between January and March.
Miami Dolphins rookie receiver Preston Williams will miss the final eight games of the season with a knee injury. Williams was injured in the Dolphins' first win of the year against the Jets.

 

Eagles' Jackson To Have Surgery

The Philadelphia Eagles say that wide receiver DeSean Jackson will have surgery on his abdominal injury. Jackson hasn’t played since suffering the injury on September 16th against Atlanta, except for four snaps on Sunday, and originally planned to let it heal on its own.

 

Panthers Claim Moncrief Off Waivers

The Carolina Panthers have claimed wide out Donte Moncrief off of waivers. Moncrief was recently cut by the Pittsburgh Steelers in an effort to recoup a compensatory pick.

 

Chargers Interested In Moving

It’s reported that both the NFL and the Los Angeles Chargers are interested in the team possibly moving there on a permanent basis. However, even if it were to happen, sources say the move would be years away.

 

Winslow Pleads Guilty

Former NFL star Kellen Winslow II has pleaded guilty to sex charges in California. Winslow now faces 12 to 18 years in prison when he’s sentenced in February. Winslow had faced the possibility of life in prison and will remain jailed without bail until the sentencing.
