Eastern Sets Football Game Times

Eastern Illinois football has set game times for the Panthers five 2019 home contests to be played at O’Brien Field.  Season ticket sales and renewals are now underway for the 2019 season online at www.eiupanthertickets.com or by calling 217-581-2106.

The home opener for first-year head coach Adam Cushing will be in the 108th playing of the Mid-America Classic against Illinois State with a 2 p.m. kickoff set for O’Brien Field on Saturday, Sept. 14.

EIU welcomes Tennessee Tech to O’Brien Field on Sept. 28 for a 4 p.m. start with the weekend serving as Family Weekend and Athletic Hall of Fame weekend.   The Panthers will induct Jimmy Garoppolo, Erik Lora, Jade Riebold and Mick Viken in this year’s class.

The Panthers play the first of two 12 p.m. (Noon) starts on Oct. 12 against Jacksonville State.  The day will serve as Community Day at O’Brien Field.

This year’s homecoming game will be on Oct. 26 against Eastern Kentucky with a 2 p.m. start

The final regular-season home game will be on Nov. 16 against Southeast Missouri with a  scheduled 12 p.m. kickoff time.   The game will be Senior Day for EIU football.

All five home games, along with the Panthers four OVC road contests, will be carried on the ESPN+ as part of the Ohio Valley Conference’s digital streaming package.   The Panthers Sept. 7 game at Big Ten member Indiana will be carried on the Big Ten Network.  Road games at Chattanooga (Aug. 29) and Indiana State (Sept. 21) will be carried on either ESPN3 or ESPN+ once those two conferences have announced their fall football streaming packages.
