The Effingham County Storm, an eight-man semi pro football team, is ranked eighth in the Top 25 across the country.

Metro Militia is the top ranked team followed by Lancaster County Cyclones, Texas Takeover, McAllen Mavericks, Illinois Thunderbolts, 4-State Fusion, Pharr Phantoms and Effingham County Storm.
