The Baltimore Ravens have benched quarterback Joe Flacco in favor of rookie Lamar Jackson. Flacco missed four games with a hip injury, but is now healthy. However, coach John Harbaugh says Jackson will be the starter.
Saints Release Brandon Marshall
The New Orleans Saints have released wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Marshall signed with the team last month after Dez. Bryant suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. Marshall began this season with the Seattle Seahawks, who released him on November 1.
Seahawks' Kendricks Done For Season
The Seattle Seahawks say linebacker Mychal Kendricks is done for the season after he suffered a knee and lower leg injury in their win over Minnesota.
Raiders Back Out Of Tentative Deal
The Raiders have reportedly backed out of tentative deal to play in Oakland next season. Among possible single-season homes for the Raiders are the 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium, Sam Boyd Stadium at University of Nevada, Las Vegas or the stadiums at Stanford, UC Berkeley or San Jose State.
Vegas Getting Football A Little Sooner
Las Vegas is getting football a little sooner than planned as the NFL announced they’ll hold the 2020 draft in Sin City. The Raiders are due to begin play there later in 2020.
