Falcons Place Freeman On Injured Reserve

The Atlanta Falcons have placed two-time Pro Bowl running back Devonta Freeman on injured reserve with a groin injury. The team is hopeful he’ll be able to return this season, but they won’t know for a few weeks.


Raiders Release Derrick Johnson

The Oakland Raiders have released linebacker Derrick Johnson. The Raiders signed Johnson in May to be the starting middle linebacker, but second-year player Marquel Lee has gotten most of the playing time.
