Carolina Players Enter Record Book

A couple of Carolina Panthers players entered the record book against the New York Giants Sunday.
Cam Newton broke Randall Cunningham’s record for most rushing yardage for any quarterback with a single franchise, while kicker Graham Gano tied the record for longest game-winning field goal at 63 yards.
Chiefs' Jones, Ford Ejected
Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones and linebacker Dee Ford were ejected from Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jones was booted for throwing a punch at an opposing player and Ford was tossed for taunting Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles.
Seahawks Thoms To Undergo Surgery
Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas will undergo surgery to have a rod inserted in his broken left leg this week. Thomas will be a free agent after this season and is expected to be 100 percent when the signing period begins in March.
College Teams Maintain Top Spots
Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Clemson maintained their top four spots in the Associated Press college football poll, with Notre Dame moving into the top five after beating Virginia Tech on Saturday night.
