Bills' Davis Retires at Halftime Sunday

Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis apparently retired at halftime of Sunday's 31-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Coach Sean McDermott said he pulled himself out of the game and communicated that he was done. Davis started the game but was not seen on the field or on the sideline in the second half.

 

Chiefs' Mahomes Sets NFL Record

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes set an NFL record by passing for 10 touchdowns in his first two weeks. Mahomes had six touchdown passes against the Steelers yesterday, which tied Len Dawson for the franchise record.


Browns To Release Gordon

Josh Gordon will officially be released by the Cleveland Browns today. Sources say both the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys are interested in signing Gordon.


Alabama Remans Atop AP Poll

Alabama remains atop the Associated Press college football poll, this time picking up a season-high 58 first-place votes. Georgia moved up to second place ahead of Clemson, followed by Ohio State and Oklahoma to round out the top five, while LSU shot up to No. 6.
