Eagles Defeat Falcons to Open NFL Season

If you were looking for big offense, it wasn't the game for you, but Philadelphia rekindled a memory of their Super Bowl victory Thursday night as they defeated the Atlanta Falcons 18-12 to open the 2018 NFL season.

The Eagles ran a modified version of their "Philly Special" play on which quarterback Nick Foles caught a pass for a big gain. The play seemed to spark Philadelphia, which went on to win. Foles scored on a similar play in the Eagles' win over New England in February.
