Arizona's Shipley Out For Season With Torn ACL

Arizona Cardinals starting center A.Q. Shipley is out for the season with a torn right ACL. Shipley was injured during a goal-line drill in training camp on Saturday and will be replaced by rookie Mason Cole.


Patriots Release Mitchell

The New England Patriots released receiver Malcolm Mitchell Monday. Mitchell was a fourth-round pick out of Georgia in 2016, but spent all of last season on injured reserve.


North Carolina Team Members Suspended

North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback Chazz Surratt and 12 of his teammates have been suspended for at least one game after they were caught selling school-issued, special-edition Nike shoes. That’s a secondary NCAA violation and since several of the players play the same position, the NCAA has allowed the school to stagger the suspensions.
