EHS senior Drew Niebrugge has signed a national letter of intent to play college football at Olivet Nazarene University.

The offensive lineman was a key to the success of the football Hearts this past season, a year that included a return to the playoffs for the first time in three seasons.

EHS Football Coach Brett Hefner said Niebrugge should do well at ONU, saying for his size Niebrugge has good quickness and good football knowledge. As for ONU, both Niebrugge and Hefner were highly complimentary of the facilities, reminding that the university is the spring training camp location of the Chicago Bears.

Niebrugge plans to focus on criminal justice in college.
