Winning varsity football awards were, left to right, Terrence Hill, Jarrett Jones, Jordan McCabe, Matt Robinson, Braden Hasty, Logan Smith, Kody Line, Alec Morrissey, Kaleb Kihne and Danny Hortenstine.  Not pictured Gage Franklin.

Effingham High School football players and cheerleaders were honored at a banquet at the Hearts Rock Cafe Monday evening.

Winning varsity football awards were:

Alec Morrissey -- George Wenthe Sportsmanship

Jarrett Jones -- George Wenthe Sportsmanship

Gage Franklin -- Jack Klosterman Hang Tough

Kaleb Kihne -- Jack Klosterman Hang Tough

Braden Hasty -- Chris Hutts Bandit, Defensive Most Valuable Player

Matthew Robinson -- Lineman of the Year

Terrence Hill -- Offensive Most Valuable Player

Jordan McCabe -- Specials Teams Most Valuable Player

Logan Smith -- Special Teams Most Valuable Player

Danny Hortenstine -- Special Teams Most Valubale Player

Kody Line -- Varsity Most Improved

Chase Woomer -- Little Big Man

Nathan Barnes -- Most Improved

Football cheerleading awards went to, left to right, Katie Vahling and Payton Koester. Not pictured Regan Hopper.

Cheerleading awards were presented. Katie Vahling won Most Improved while Regan Hopper took the Most Spirited award. Winning two awards was Payton Koester for Outstanding Cheerleader and Leadership.

Earning letters were Kierstin Cornell, Ciarra Leasher, Ashtin Bridges, Destinie Brown, Payton Koester, Kaitlyn Stopa, Tymber Jordan, Erica Bezroukoff, Regan Hopper, Jocelyn Prather, Logann Mayfield, Savanna Barnes, Jenna Koester and Katie Vahling.
