EHS' Terrence Hill Named WCIA Athlete of Week

Through the fall, WCIA 3 has been selecting an 'Athlete of the Week.'

Every Monday, they announce three nominees from the prior week.  Fan voting opens at 6 p.m. and runs through Wednesday at 10 p.m.  On Thursday, a winner is named during the 6 p.m. newscast.  In November, one grand prize winner will receive a $500 scholarship.

Terrence Hill won for Week 6 as Athlete of the Week. He amassed 59% of the votes to the runner-up who had 41%.

Hill competes for the Effingham High School football team. He had 263 rushing yards on 39 carries and scored five touchdowns in a 41-6 win over Mahomet-Seymour last week.

Hill will now be in the running for the $500 scholarship.
