Effingham High School senior Ash Blunt has signed his national letter of intent to play college football at Millikin University.

Hearts Coach Brett Hefner said Millikin was interested in Blunt not only for his physical ability as a football player, but for his football mentality. Hefner also believes Blunt's best football is still ahead of him. He spoke with Greg Sapp about that...

Blunt said he'll be playing on the offensive line as he did during high school, and said his goal is to get playing time as soon as possible.

As to what he'd be pursuing academically, Blunt said he will focus on Digital Media Marketing.

Ash is the son of Ryan and Nicole Blunt.

Here's Greg Sapp's conversation with Ash Blunt after Monday's ceremony...
