All-Area Football Teams Named, All-Conference Named

All-Conference Teams were chosen for area football players.

Six Effingham High School players were named to the All-Apollo Conference teams. Named to the First Team were Ashton Blunt, right tackle, Terrence Hill, running back; Noah Spencer, defensive end and Grant Wolfe, cornerback.

Named to the Second Team were Brendan Dawkins, right guard and Frank Schneiderjon, defensive end.

Cumberland had several players listed on the Little Okaw Valley Southeast Division All-Conference teams.

Named to the First Team Offense were Mike Wolke (offensive line), Keaton Titus (running back) and Tyson Magee (wide receiver). Named to the First Team Defense were Myles Gerhardt (defensive back), Mike Wolke (linebacker) and Colton Shoot (defensive line).

Named to the Second Team Offense were Brock Rawlings (offensive line) and Brody Donsbach (quarterback) and Second Team Defense was Tyson Magee (defensive line).

Honorable Mention went to Ryan Yaw, Keaton Titus and Cameron Wingler.

Newton players named to the Little Illini Conference First Team were Gabe Fulton, Nick Cartwright and Brad Pethtel, all offensve line, Mitch Bierman (running back), Kendall Flowers (defensive line), Mitch Bierman (linebacker), Colton Angel (linebacker), Nate Meinhart (defensive back), Tim Weber (defensive back) and Ben Carr (special teams).

Named on the Second Team were Wade Frohning (offensive line) and Bryce Hance (defensive line).

Honorable Mention went to Mitch Jansen.

The Decatur Herald & Review named its all-area teams. Named to the First Team Offense from the area were Effingham's Terrence Hill (RB) and Ash Blunt (OL) and Newton's Mitch Bierman (RB), Gabe Fulton (OL) and Ben Carr (K). Other First Team members were Caleb Hanson (Monticello, QB), Isiah Florey (Monticello, WR), Nathan Graham (Monticello, WR), Marcus Zimmerman (Vandalia, WR), Hunter Woodard (Tuscola, OL), Joe Fallin (Taylorville, OL), Dalton Pantier (Arcola, OL) and Kaleb Wiliams (Tuscola, Ath).

First Team Defense was Newton's Nate Meinhart (DB). Also named on First Team Defense were Hunter Goodwin (Oblong, DL), Gunder Reese (Taylorville, DL), Clayton Peterson (Shelbyville, DL), Heath Fleming (Taylorville, LB), Nathan Harman (Monticello, LB), Ben Marley (Nokomis, LB), Parker Stokes (Taylorville, LB), Dalton Whitted (Clinton, LB), Johnny Dawson (Monticello, DB), Dalton Hoel (Tuscola, DB) and Daniel Duduit (Pana, P).

Area Second Team members on Offense were Tyson Magee (Cumberland, WR) and Nick Cartwright (Newton, OL). Second Team members on Defense were Mike Wolke (Cumberland, LB) and Tim Weber (Newton, DB).
