Newton's Mitch Bierman Named to All-State Football Team

The Illinois Football Coaches Association All-State Football Teams were released.

Newton High School's Mitch Bierman was named as a running back in Class 3A. Bierman is 5-foot-10, 190 pounds.

Named to the Class 2A team from around the area were Shelbyville's Clayton Peterson and Turner Pullen. Peterson is a 5-foot-8 160 pound nose tackle and Pullen is a 6-foot-2, 190 pound quarterback.
