EHS Football Players, Cheerleaders Honored at Banquet

Award winners for the EHS varsity football team were, left to right, Brendan Dawkins, Ben Schuette, Braden Hasty, Noah Spencer, Terrence Hill, Jordan McCabe, Matt Robinson, Ashton Blunt and Harrison Smith.
Effingham High School football players and cheerleaders were honored with letters and awards at a banquet Monday evening.
Award winners for varsity football were Harrison Smith (George Wenthe Sportsmanship award), Ben Schuette (Jack Klosterman "Hang Tough" award), Braden Hasty (Chris Hutts Bandit award), Ash Blunt (Lineman of the Year), Brendan Dawkins (Lineman of the Year), Terrence Hill (Offensive Most Valuable Player), Noah Spencer (Defensive Most Valuable Player), Jordan McCabe (Special Teams Most Valuable Player) and Matthew Robinson (Varsity Most Improved).
Earning letters were Andy Nashed, Kyle Phillips, Nathan Shackelford, Alec Morrissey, Gabe McDermith-Herron, Lucas Vasquez, Jackson Woelfer, Jacob Miller, Harrison Smith, Landon Wolfe, Dylan Bushur, Kendall Ballman, Luke Spencer, Logan Poe, Grant Wolfe, Jordan McCabe, Tyler Marschewski, Danny Hortenstine, Paul Smith, Braden Hasty, Kody Line, Tanner Loy, Kaleb Kihne, Terrence Hill, Gage Franklin, Parker Seachrist, Zac Bateman, Zane Thilker, Jarrett Jones, Reese Evans, Jason Bowlin, Frank Schneiderjon, Brian Campbell, Matthew Robinson, Hunter Diveley, Parker McGee, Joey Duncan, Brendan Dawkins, Drew Tegeler, Hayden Diveley, Drew Niebrugge, Ashton Blunt, Isaac Heischmidt, Matthew Hites, Noah Spencer, Jacob Conrad, Ben Schuette, Logan Smith, Jacob Cameron, Evan Evans (manager) and Jaydynn Mathis (manager).

Cheerleading awards went to Joanie Brandt (Most Improved), Cierra Rush-Inman (Outstanding Cheerleader), Payton Koester (Most Spirited) and Alexis Stout (Leadership).
