EIU Game To Air On FOX College Sports

CHARLESTON – Eastern Illinois and Eastern Kentucky will meet in an important Ohio Valley Conference football game this Saturday in Richmond, Ky., with the game to be televised nationally on FOX College Sports.

Fans locally will be able to watch the game live through Consolidated Communications on Channel 38 as part of the FOX College Sports Atlantic package.  The game airs at 11 a.m. (central).  FOX College Sports Atlantic is currently available on the Expanded TV plan from Consolidated but this Saturday subscribers to the Consolidated TV Network that currently have the Select TV plan or Expanded TV plan will be able to watch the game as Consolidated Communications has partnered with FOX Sports to offer the channel on Saturday only.

In addition to being available on Consolidated Communications this weekend as part of the Select and Expanded TV packages, FOX College Sports Atlantic is also available via AT&T U-Verse on Channel 647 as part of the Sports Package; via Mediacom on Channel 172 as part of the Sports & Information Digital Pak; and on DirecTV on Channel 623 or 626 as part of the SPORTS PACK.

EIU enters the game 4-3 overall, 3-1 in the OVC.  The Panthers feature Walter Payton Award Candidates Jimmy Garoppolo and Erik Lora on offense while the defense is led by OVC sacks leader Artavious Dowdell.  EKU is tied for first in the OVC with a 6-2 record, 4-1 in the OVC.  The Colonels are ranked No. 18 in this week’s FCS Top 25 polls.  EKU is led by Walter Payton Award Candidate Matt Denham on offense.

In addition to the national television broadcast, the game can be heard on the Panther Radio Network airing on WRJM 1270 AM and Hit Mix 88.9 FM WEIU in the Charleston/Coles County Market.  Additional network stations include WHOW 1510 AM (Clinton) and WMKR 94.3 FM (Taylorville).
