EHS JV Football Team Finishes Undefeated

Effingham High School's junior varsity football team traveled to Mahomet-Seymour and came away with it's eighth victory in eight attempts Monday evening.

Effingham used a balanced attack on offense with 114 yards through the air and two touchdowns and 114 yards on the ground with two touchdowns. Also converting four two-point conversions, with three via pass and one on the ground. Kevin Daugherty was seven of 14 for 114 yards with two touchdowns, one for 24 yards to Tyler Myers and a six yard completion to Matt Wolhtman. Daugherty and Tritt Rush led the team in rushing with 31 yards apiece and a touchdown each.

The defense was outstanding, in keeping the Mahomet-Seymour from scoring. Andy Lustig and Alec Stevenson lead the team with six tackles each.
