Dallas police have completed their investigation into the June 5 shooting of Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib and have concluded that he shot himself in the leg, according to WFAA television.

When reached by ESPN and the Denver Post, a media relations representative with the Dallas Police Department would not confirm the WFAA report.

The Broncos said Tuesday they would have no comment on the report, and Dallas police would not confirm the report.

To this point, Talib has offered few specifics on the incident, other than to say he feels fortunate and that "I want to move on and concentrate on the season.''

Talib suffered a gunshot wound to his lower right leg in the early-morning hours of June 5 in Dallas. He avoided surgery and was released from the hospital the following day. The incident forced him to miss the Broncos' visit to the White House to commemorate their Super Bowl 50 win.

According to the police report, Talib said he didn't know who shot him and that An earlier police report indicated that a witness said he had been with Talib in a large group of people in a park when he heard one gunshot. The witness said he then found Talib on the ground and took the cornerback to the hospital.

The narrative listed on the report offered that Talib had been shot "by an unknown suspect.'' That initial police report did not reveal whether Talib had a weapon, but it did indicate that one gram of marijuana was found during the investigation. That police report did not indicate whether the marijuana belonged to Talib.

Dallas police did confirm on Aug. 17 that they were still investigating the possibility that Talib shot himself.

NFL Will Address Referee's Profanity

The NFL will internally address referee Pete Morelli's recent microphone gaffe, a league spokesman said, but it does not appear Morelli will face suspension for the incident.

League officials were not pleased with Morelli's use of a profanity over an open microphone at Gillette Stadium during Sunday's game between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. Even so, he and his crew are assigned to Sunday's game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions.

During a timeout, Morelli left his stadium microphone on while speaking to another official. Those at the stadium -- but not at home -- could hear Morelli say: "Turned into a pretty good game. But one big hit, this s--- could explode."

In 2013, the league suspended umpire Roy Ellison for a profane and derogatory comment made to Washington Redskins offensive lineman Trent Williams.

Morelli is in his 20th year as an NFL official.
