Charleston football coach Tim Hogan announced today he is resigning his position. Today is the first day of practice for the upcoming season.

Rob Calhoun of the Charleston football broadcasting squad said Hogan indicated his resignation is due to "personal reasons".

Tyler Hanner, who has been working as defensive coordinator, has been named interim head coach of the Trojans. Hanner was a finalist for the position when Hogan was hired.

Charleston was winless last season in Hogan's only season at the helm. The Trojans had only won one game in each of the previous two seasons.
