Quarterback Tom Brady, who has attempted to keep a low public and media profile since his decision not to pursue a Deflategate appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, made a surprise appearance Monday night at the New England Patriots' Hall of Fame induction of his former teammate, running back Kevin Faulk.

Brady showed up at the end of the ceremony and unzipped his jacket onstage to reveal that he was wearing Faulk's old No. 33 jersey.

He then addressed the crowd of several thousand fans for about two minutes.

"Thank you, guys, for supporting him. Thank you, guys, for supporting us. We have the best fans in the world," Brady said to a raucous applause, as the crowd began chanting "Brady! Brady! Brady!"

At that point, Brady said, "No, this is for Kevin!"

The connection between the two players who played 12 seasons together is well documented, as the 40-year-old Faulk had worn Brady's No. 12 jersey while announcing the Patriots' third-round draft choice at the 2016 NFL draft.

Brady concluded his remarks by saying, "Kevin, we love you, you're an amazing person, an amazing teammate. As great as a player as Kevin was, he's a better friend."

Brady, who turns 39 on Wednesday, had joked during his remarks, saying, "It's such a special night. But what's not very special about tonight is when the guys that are going into the Hall of Fame are your age."

Jordan Rodgers Wins Bachelorette

Not having his more famous brother take part in the show apparently didn't hurt Jordan Rodgers' chances on ABC's "The Bachelorette."

JoJo Fletcher picked the "former pro quarterback," as he's been identified on the show throughout the season, as the winning suitor during the season finale Monday night.

Rodgers proposed to Fletcher on a beach in Thailand.

"I love you so much," Rodgers said. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Fletcher said yes.

Rodgers, the 27-year-old younger brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback and two-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, never played in an NFL regular-season game but had brief tours of duty with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He spent some time with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League before retiring from football. While wooing Fletcher, Jordan Rodgers spoke about the close relationship he has with his oldest brother, Luke, but told Fletcher that he and Aaron "don't really have that much of a relationship."

Asked at the start of training camp last week about his brother's appearance on the show and how he felt about his relationship with his family being discussed on reality TV, Aaron Rodgers said he had not watched.

"I haven't seen the show, to be honest with you, so it hasn't really affected me a whole lot," Aaron Rodgers said last Tuesday. "As far as those kind of things go, I've always found that it's a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters. I'm not going to speak on those things, but I wish him well in the competition."

When asked about his relationship with Aaron Rodgers on "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose" Monday, Jordan Rodgers said nothing had changed. Aaron Rodgers had yet to meet his brother's fiancee.

Jordan Rodgers and Fletcher said they are planning to move to Dallas immediately and get married next year.
