Fletcher Cox has agreed to terms on a six-year contract extension through 2022 with the Philadelphia Eagles, the team announced Monday.

The deal is worth $103 million with $63 million in guaranteed money, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. That means the Pro Bowl defensive lineman will have the highest guarantee for a non-quarterback in NFL history.

Cox had skipped the previous month of organized team activities as he and his agent tried to work out a long-term contract with the Eagles. The 25-year-old reported to the NovaCare Complex a week ago.

Cox, a first-round pick in 2012, went to the Pro Bowl this year after recording a career-high 9.5 sacks in 2015. According to ESPN Stats & Information, Cox led the Eagles by making 24 tackles for a loss or no gain last season. In his four-year career, Cox has 22 sacks and six fumble recoveries.

After three seasons as a defensive end in a 3-4 scheme, Cox is expected to return to defensive tackle in coordinator Jim Schwartz's 4-3 defense.

Broncos' Phillips Receives Wrong Ring

There are times when Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips will make a joke or two at his own expense -- about his resume, when he's been fired or whether people would know him when he's out and about.

Sunday night, however, he had to fight back a little disappointment about mistaken identity. Phillips will need a new Super Bowl ring after the one he received at the team's extravagant ceremony at the stadium had "the wrong name" on it, according to Phillips.

The incorrect name on Phillips' ring was Peters. The Broncos' assistant director of college scouting is named Adam Peters. His name was correctly displayed on the ring he received.

Phillips said Monday that he's happy he will receive a replacement as quickly as possible from the company -- Jostens -- that made rings for the Broncos. -- By ESPN
