KEVIN SEITZER JERSEY RETIREMENT
Former Eastern Illinois standout baseball player Kevin Seitzer will have his No. 2 EIU jersey retired during the Panthers homecoming football game Saturday, October 13. Seitzer was a two-time All-Star and runner-up for the American League Rookie of the Year in 1987 as he put together an 11-year Major League career.

As a freshman he helped lead the Panthers to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Division II World Series. Seitzer worked the 2012 season as the hitting coach for the Kansas City Royals.
EIU hosts Jacksonville State for this year’s homecoming game with a 1:30 p.m. kickoff. Tickets for the game can be purchased by calling 217-581-2106 or online at www.eiupanthertickets.com
