IHSFCA to Induct Group of High School Football Coaches

The Illinois High School Football Coaches Association, in conjunction with the Annual Spring Clinic, will induct a group of high school football coaches into its Hall of Fame.
The list of active, retired, career and assistant coaches were selected for their contrubutions to the profession and impact on the school and community where they coach.
The coaches will be honored at a luncheon at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign Saturday, April 2 at noon. Price per ticket is $25 and may be obtained from Phil Salzer, Secretary-Treasurer, at 3101 N. Old Trail Rd., Peoria, IL 61604.
The emcee for the event is Jim Sheppard of Champaign. The program speaker will be Bill Cubit, head coach of the University of Illinois football program.
The local entrees include Newton High School's Todd Short who enters as an assistant coach. He has coached for 28 years.
Also in the area is Dennis Litteken who coached at Springfield Griffin, Pearl City and Breese Mater Dei Catholic as a career coach. He coached 33 years and had a 95-57 record with three championships.
