St. Louis Blues owner Tom Stillman, wearing a St. Louis Cardinals jacket, and Cardinals owner Bill DeWitt III, wearing a Blues jacket, were at center ice for the Blues' game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night to drop the puck as a sign of support for the city of St. Louis.

As they dropped the puck, the crowd erupted into a chant of "Kroenke sucks," directed at Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who is moving the city's NFL team to Los Angeles for the 2016 season.

Until October, Kroenke had also owned the NHL's Colorado Avalanche and NBA's Denver Nuggets; he transferred ownership of those to his wife in preparation for the NFL relocation bid.

Blues PA announcer Tom Calhoun lauded Stillman and DeWitt as they left the ice, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

"Thank you for your support of sports in St. Louis," Calhoun said.

Eagles Set To Hire Pederson As Head Coach

The Eagles are expected to hire Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson as their head coach, a source told ESPN.

No move could be made until the end of the season for the Chiefs, who will face the New England Patriots in the divisional round of the playoffs Saturday in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Asked by local media Thursday night about the team's search for a coach, an Eagles spokesman said: "We have concluded our search for a head coach. No further interviews are scheduled."

The Eagles have also hired Ken Flajole, according to reports from El Paso, Texas, and he is expected to be a defensive assistant. Flajole had been set to become the defensive coordinator at UTEP.

A relationship between Flajole and Pederson goes back to 1998, when Pederson was the backup quarterback for the Green Bay Packers and Flajole was a defensive assistant coach.

Philadelphia turned to Pederson after former New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin withdrew from consideration for the Eagles' opening, sources told ESPN.

The Eagles' interest in Pederson stems from his relationship with Andy Reid. Reid, the former Eagles head coach and current Chiefs head coach, worked with Pederson in Green Bay and gave him his previous NFL coaching jobs. Pederson was Reid's offensive coordinator with the Chiefs for the past three seasons.

San Antonio ready If Raiders Want to Move

Former Minnesota Vikings owner Red McCombs said in a radio interview that San Antonio is ready if the Oakland Raiders decide to move to the city and that he is even willing to invest in the team if needed.

McCombs, an 88-year-old billionaire, said in a radio interview with ESPN San Antonio on Wednesday that he talked to Raiders owner Mark Davis on Tuesday after the team withdrew its application to relocate to Los Angeles.

According to Bleacher Report, Davis owns land in the San Antonio area where he could build a stadium.

McCombs said San Antonio has "several locations that would work" to build a stadium and that he has 12 corporate sponsors lined up with "serious commitments." Now he has to convince Davis that moving his team to Texas is the right move for the franchise.

"He was born and raised there, and he has a great feeling for the state of California," McCombs said of Davis. "But it appears he is going to need to go somewhere."

McCombs said he would be amenable to buying into the Raiders if that's what it would take to get the team to play in San Antonio.
