EHS Football Awards Presented at Banquet

Effingham High School varsity football awards went to, left to right, Parker Seachrist, Drew Tegeler, Blake White, Sean Zerrusen, Drew Vasquez, Grant Piggush and Griffin Paige.
Effingham High School football players and cheerleaders were honored at the annual banquet Monday evening at the Hearts Rock Cafe.
Claiming varsity awards were Blake White (George Wenthe Sportsmanship), Drew Tegeler (Jack Klosterman Hang Tough), Griffin Paige (Chris Hutts Bandit, Defensive Most Valuable Player), Grant Piggush (Lineman of the Year), Drew Vasquez (Offensive Most Valuable Player), Sean Zerrusen (Special Teams Most Valuable Player) and Parker Seachrist (Varsity Most Improved).
Letters went to Vasquez, White, Zerrusen, Seachrist, Paige, Piggush, Tegeler, Hudson Graham, Trevor Kreke, Alec Morrissey, Lucas Vasquez, Joe Nieman, Harrison Smith, Cory Osborn, Grant Wolfe, Jordan McCabe, Jacob Miller, Kody Line, Terrence Hill, Wyatt Keith, Zane Thilker, Jarrett Jones, Kaleb Martin, Frank Schneiderjon, Hunter Diveley, Logan Smith, Brendan Dawkins, Drew Niebrugge, Ryan Hails, Ash Blunt, Noah Spencer, Jakob Conrad, Tucker Denton, Tristen Rhodes, Logan Poe and managers Anna Wines, Whitni Bozdech, Morgan Kinkelaar and Brandy Fulk.
Junior varsity awards went to Alec Morrissey (Hustle) and Hayden Diveley (Most Improved).

The freshman awards went to Tyler Marschewski (Hustle), Kendall Ballman (Little Big Man) and Gage Frankllin (Most Improved).

The cheerleading awards went to Madison McDaniel (Most Improved), Cierra Rush-Inman (Outstanding Cheerleader), Payton Koester (Most Spirited) and Alexis Stout (Leadership).
Picking up cheerleading letters were Stout, Rush-Inman, Koester, McDaniel, Olivia Byers, Mackenzie Chasteen, Kimberly Clark, Alissa Kersey, Morgan Pierson, Andrea Sills, Ashley Sills, Sammanatha Steele, Kierstin Cornell, Jaci Lipe and Brooklyn Manning.
