EHS Freshmen Drop Football Loss To Taylorville

Effingham fell behind 21-8 in the opening quarter of a freshman football contest Thursday evening and fell 57-24 to Taylorville.
Tyler Marschewski had 13 carries for 110 yards for the Hearts. Kendall Ballman had 14 carries for 64 yards. Gage Franklin had 12 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Landon Wolfe connected on 10 of 20 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown. Zach Lee had two catches for 23 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Bushur had three catches for 41 yards. Kaleb Kihne had two catches for 29 yards. Noah Allen had two catches for 51 yards.
Leading in tackles were Kihne with five, Ballman with five and Nick Bishop with four.
