EHS JV Improve to 3-0

CHARLESTON -- Effingham ran its junior varsity football record to 3-0 with a convincing 39-0 victory on the road at Charleston Monday night.
Effingham's defense was outstanding all night, holding Charleston scoreless, forcing three fumbles and recovering two, plus Matt Wohltman's interception and 54 yard return for a touchdown finished off the scoring.
Andy Lustig lead the team in tackles with nine and Brandon Loy and Tritt Rush both recorded eight each.
Kevin Daugherty continued his solid play with four of nine passing for 61 yards and he rushed 10 times for 105 yards and a touchdown. He also was on the receiving end of a touchdown pass from Dylan Wolfe that covered 44 yards. Trent Barnhart and Rush both found the end zone with rushing touchdowns.
Effingham's next game with be at home next Monday against Salem.
