Berra Named Special Teams Player of Week

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - Eastern Illinois junior kicker Cameron Berra has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following his efforts in EIU's 54-51 overtime loss at Illinois State.
Berra was 3-of-3 on field goal attempts while knocking home all six point after attempts. Berra made a career long 44-yard kick as time expired in the first half to give EIU a 17-14 lead. Berra knocked home a 20-yard field goal as time expired in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 41-41, forcing the overtime period. Berra made a 40-yard field goal in EIU's second possession of overtime.
With the three made field goals on Saturday, Berra moved into seventh on the Panthers career field goals made list with 18. Berra has made 27 straight point after attempts and 63-of-66 for his career.
EIU returns to action on Saturday hosting Murray State at 6:30 p.m.
