EIU Football Tickets Now On Sale

CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois single game football tickets for the 2015 season will go on sale on Monday, August 3. Fans can purchase tickets by calling 217-581-2106 or online at www.eiupanthertickets.com. The Panthers will host five home games at O’Brien Field this season with season tickets still available.

The home opener will be Saturday, Sept. 19 against Illinois State in the 104th playing of the Mid-America Classic. The night game will have two additional features with the 2015 EIU Hall of Fame Class honored at halftime and former NFL Head Coach Mike Shanahan being honored during the first half. Tickets for the home opener are $20 per person.

EIU has two games in October with Family Weekend set for Saturday, Oct. 10 against Southeast Missouri. The game will kickoff at 1 p.m. and be carried live on ESPN3. On Saturday, Oct. 24, EIU will host Tennessee Tech for homecoming as EIU celebrates 100 years of homecoming on campus. Kickoff for the TTU game is 1 p.m. Both games are $20 per person.

Two games that could be key in the Ohio Valley Conference race highlight the November schedule with Jacksonville State coming to O’Brien Field on Saturday, Nov. 7 for a 1 pm start. Tickets for that game at $15 per person. The regular season wraps up against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 21 with tickets for that game available for $10 per person.

In addition to the five home games, EIU will play its second game of the season at Northwestern on Saturday, Sept. 12. The game will be televised on ESPN News. Tickets in the EIU section are $40 per person for this game and can be purchased through the EIU Ticket Office by phone. The EIU Alumni Association is partnering with EIU Athletics on a tailgate event with complete details to be released soon.

EIU opens the season on Thursday, Sept. 3 at Western Illinois. Additional road games are Oct. 3 at Austin Peay, Oct. 17 at Tennessee State, Oct. 31 at Murray State and Nov. 14 at UT Martin. Tickets for these road games can be purchased through the EIU Ticket Office by phone.
