EIU At Tennessee State Will Be On ASN

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois football will play its Oct. 17 game at Tennessee State on the American Sports Network (ASN) as part of the Ohio Valley Conference’s six-game television package with the company.
This marks the third televised game the Panthers will have this season with previous announcements of EIU’s Sept. 12 game at Northwestern set for ESPN News and EIU’s Family Weekend game on Oct. 10 against Southeast Missouri set for ESPN3.
The Oct. 17 game, which serves as Tennessee State’s homecoming game, will be played at LP Field – home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. Kickoff for the contest is set for 6 pm.
The American Sports Network is an initiative of the Sinclair Networks Group, LLC, owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., which owns and operates programs and provides sales services to 162 television stations in 79 markets, reaching approximately 37.5 percent of U.S. television households. It includes FOX, ABC, CBS, MyTV, CW, NBC, Univision and Azteca affiliates.
The exact stations each of the games will air will be announced at a later date.
This will be the 19th meeting between EIU and TSU with the Panthers leading the all-time series 11-7. EIU has won three straight in the series including a 34-16 win over TSU at LP Field in 2013. The Panthers won 28-3 last season at O’Brien Field.
