(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Chicago Bears are cleaning house after a disappointing 5-and-11 season.  They have fired both head coach Marc Trestman and general manager Phil Emery. Trestman just finished his second season as head coach, going 13-and-19 overall.

Emery hired Trestman in January of 2013. Emery just completed his third season as GM, with the team going 8-8 in each of his first two years before this season's 5-11 mark. Trestman took over as head coach for Lovie Smith, who was fired after the 2012 season despite a 10-6 record. The Bears also fired offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer.

Rams To Have Top-10 Pick

(St. Louis, MO) -- A 6-and-10 season will give the Rams a top-10 pick in next year's NFL Draft. The Rams will have the 10th overall selection during the first round on April 30. The Giants and Falcons also finished with 6-10 records but will pick ahead of the Rams based on strength of schedule.

The Rams will play the NFC North and AFC South next season. In addition to games against NFC West opponents, the Rams will also have home games against the Bears, Lions, Browns, Steelers and Bucs and road games against the Packers, Vikings, Ravens, Bengals and Redskins.

Rams offensive lineman Rodger Saffold will have surgery on his ailing shoulder. He tells the "Post-Dispatch" that he will have the procedure January 7 in New York and that it will not be done by team doctors. Saffold had the shoulder taped and wore a brace throughout this season.
