Steelers Hold Off Falcons, NFL Roundup

(Atlanta, GA) -- Le'Veon Bell finished with 119 total yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Steelers to a 27-20 victory over the Falcons at the Georgia Dome. Ben Roethlisberger went 27-for-35 for 360 yards to help Pittsburgh improve to 9-and-5 with its third win in four games. Antonio Brown caught 10 passes for 123 yards and William Gay returned an interception 52 yards for an score. Matt Ryan tossed for 310 yards, a pair of TDs and the pick-six. Roddy White and Devin Hester each had a touchdown catch, and Harry Douglas had 131 receiving yards in a losing effort. Atlanta drops to 5-9.
Giants Get Past Redskins
(East Rutherford, NJ) -- Odell Beckham Jr. had 12 catches for 143 yards and three touchdowns as the Giants got past the Redskins 24-13. Eli Manning threw for 250 yards and the three scores for New York, which has won two straight to improve to 5-9. New York's defense recorded seven sacks in the win. Robert Griffin the Third replaced an injured Colt McCoy and passed for 236 yards and a touchdown for the 3-11 Redskins. Griffin also rushed for 46 yards in Washington's sixth consecutive loss.
Patriots Roll Past Dolphins
(Foxboro, MA) -- The Patriots used a 24-point third quarter to power their way to a 41-13 win over the Dolphins at Gillette Stadium and clinch the AFC East. It's the sixth straight season they've won the division. Tom Brady threw for 287 yards and a pair of touchdowns while LeGarrette Blount and Shane Vereen both rushed for a score. Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman both had a receiving TD to help New England improve to 11-3. Ryan Tannehill tossed for 346 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for Miami, which fell to 7-7. Mike Wallace finished with 104 yards and a receiving score in the loss.
Chiefs Clobber Raiders
(Kansas City, MO) -- Alex Smith passed for 297 yards and two touchdowns as the Chiefs clobbered the Raiders 31-13 in Kansas City. Knile Davis accounted for two touchdowns for the Chiefs, who moved to 8-6 by snapping their three-game slide. De'Anthony Thomas returned a punt 81 yards for a score in the win. Derek Carr threw for 222 yards and a touchdown for the Raiders, who fell to 2-12. James Jones had the touchdown grab in the losing effort.
Colts Hold Off Texans To Capture South Crown
(Indianapolis, IN) -- The Colts captured their second straight AFC South title with a 17-10 win over the Texans in Indianapolis. Andrew Luck was just 18-of-34 for 187 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for the Colts, who moved to 10-4 on the year. Dwayne Allen and Hakeem Nicks had touchdown grabs in the win. Tom Savage replaced an injured Ryan Fitzpatrick and passed for 127 yards and an interception for Houston, which dipped to 7-7. Arian Foster ran for 99 yards in the loss.
Ravens Rally Past Jaguars
(Baltimore, MD) -- Joe Flacco threw for 221 yards and a touchdown as the Ravens rallied for a 20-12 win over the Jaguars in Baltimore. Owen Daniels caught the touchdown pass for the Ravens, who outscored the Jags 10-0 in the second half to improve to 9-5. Kamar Allen returned a blocked punt 11 yards for a score in the win. Blake Bortles passed for 210 yards and an interception for Jacksonville, which slipped to 2-12. Josh Scobee booted four field goals in the loss.
Panthers Down Buccaneers To Take Over First Place
(Charlotte, NC) -- Derek Anderson threw for 277 yards and a touchdown as the Panthers edged the Buccaneers 19-17. Anderson started in place of Cam Newton, who was injured in a car accident earlier in the week. Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin each had over 100 receiving yards for Carolina, which now sits alone atop the NFC South at 5-8-1. Josh McCown passed for 154 yards, a touchdown and a pick for Tampa, which dropped to 2-12.
Bengals Blank Browns In Manziel's First Start
(Cleveland, OH) -- Jeremy Hill rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns as the Bengals blasted the Browns 30-0 in Johnny Manziel's first start. Andy Dalton passed for 117 yards and an interception for the Bengals, who lead the AFC North at 9-4-1. Cincinnati held Cleveland to only 107 total yards in the shutout. Manziel was just 10-of-18 for 80 yards and two interceptions for the Browns, who have dropped three straight to fall to 7-7. Josh Gordon had three catches for 48 yards in the loss.
Bills Stun Packers
(Buffalo, NY) -- Mario Williams's sack-strip resulting in a safety in the final minutes sealed it as the Bills took down the Packers 21-13 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Marcus Thigpen took a punt 75 yards to the end zone in the first quarter for Buffalo's lone touchdown. Kyle Orton tossed for 158 yards and an interception, while Dan Carpenter nailed all four of his field goal attempts. The victory gives the Bills their first eight-win season since 2004. Aaron Rodgers went just 17-for-42 for 185 yards and a pair of picks as Green Bay had its five-game winning streak snapped. Eddie Lacy rushed for 97 yards and a TD in defeat.
Jets Edge Titans In Final Minutes
(Nashville, TN) -- Chris Ivory's one-yard touchdown run with 3:09 left lifted the Jets to a 16-11 win over the Titans at LP Field. Geno Smith went 16-of-28 for 179 yards and a TD pass to John Conner. Eric Decker caught seven balls for 100 yards to help New York snap a three-game losing streak. Jake Locker threw for 57 yards before leaving the game in the second quarter with a shoulder injury. Charlie Whitehurst finished with 154 yards in his place. Tennessee has dropped eight straight.
Broncos Cut Down Chargers
(San Diego, CA) -- Peyton Manning battled through the flu and a thigh injury to help lead the Broncos to a 22-10 win over the Chargers in San Diego. Manning threw for 233 yards and a touchdown for the 11-3 Broncos, who clinched their fourth straight AFC West title with the win. Connor Barth connected on all five of his field goal tries in the victory. Philip Rivers passed for 232 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for the Chargers, who fell to 8-6 with their second straight loss. Antonio Gates had six grabs for 54 yards and a score in the loss.
Seahawks Top Niners
(Seattle, WA) -- Russell Wilson finished 12-for-24 for 168 yards and a touchdown to help guide the Seahawks to a 17-7 win over the 49ers at CenturyLink Field. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 91 yards and a score on 21 carries to help Seattle win its fourth straight game. Jermaine Kearse had five catches for 78 yards and Paul Richardson caught a touchdown. Colin Kaepernick tossed for 141 yards and added 46 rushing yards for San Francisco, which is now eliminated from playoff contention. Frank Gore rushed for a score in the loss.
Lions Hold Off Vikings To Take Over First Place
(Detroit, MI) -- Matt Prater's 33-yard field goal with 3:38 left in the fourth quarter lifted the Lions to a 16-14 win over the Vikings in Detroit. Matthew Stafford threw for 153 yards and a touchdown for the 10-and-4 Lions, who now sit in first place in the NFC North. Golden Tate had the TD grab in the win. Teddy Bridgewater was 31-of-41 for 315 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for the Vikings, who slipped to 6-8. Matt Asiata and Greg Jennings accounted for a touchdown apiece in the loss.
Cowboys Best Eagles On "Sunday Night Football"
(Philadelphia, PA) -- The Cowboys moved back ahead in the NFC East grabbing a 38-27 win over the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on "Sunday Night Football." Tony Romo and Dez Bryant connected for three touchdowns. Romo threw for the three scores and 265 yards with no interceptions, while Dez piled up six catches and 114 yards. Philly previously crushed Dallas on Thanksgiving to take a one-game lead in the division. The 'Boys are 2--0 since then getting to 10-4, while the Eagles have gone 0-and-2. Mark Sanchez threw two picks in the loss. Chris Polk hit pay dirt twice and Darren Sproles scored from one-yard out. Philly had four turnovers total as they fell to 9-5.
Bears Battle Saints
(Chicago, IL) -- The Bears will battle Drew Brees and the Saints tonight at Soldier Field. Chicago has been off since suffering a 41-28 home loss to the Cowboys on December 4. The Bears have dropped their last two games to enter tonight's tilt 5-8 on the season. Kick-off is at 7:30.
Rams Enjoy Sunday Off
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Rams enjoyed Sunday off after playing on "Thursday Night Football" against the Cardinals. The Rams lost 12-6 in a field goal battle to fall to 6-8. The Rams play their home finale this Sunday as they welcome the 5-9 Giants to the Edward Jones Dome.
