Panthers' Newton Injured In Car Accident

(Charlotte, NC) -- Panthers quarterback Cam Newton sustained two small fractures in his lower back after a two-car, rollover accident Tuesday afternoon.  Panthers director of communications Charlie Dayton says Newton will remain hospitalized overnight.

Newton and the other driver went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.


Rams Get Ready For "Thursday Night Football"

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Rams continue to get ready for "Thursday Night Football" against first-place Arizona. The teams meet Thursday at the Edward Jones Dome. The Rams are 6-7 after back-to-back shutouts over the Raiders and Redskins. The Cardinals lead the NFC West at 10-3.
