#12 Kansas State Hangs On To Beat West Virginia

(Morgantown, WV) -- Jake Waters tossed for 400 yards and a touchdown to lead number-12 Kansas State to a 26-20 victory over West Virginia in Morgantown.

Tyler Lockett caught 10 balls for 196 yards and returned a punt for a score. Matthew McCrane converted on four of his five field goals and the defense forced four turnovers as the Wildcats moved to 8-2 and 6-1 in the Big 12  K-State hosts Kansas a week from tomorrow.

Illinois Hosts Penn State

(Champaign, IL) -- The Fighting Illini face Penn State at Memorial Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. on ESPN2. Illinois is 4-6 and 1-5 in the Big Ten after losing to Iowa last weekend. The Nittany Lions are 6-4 and 2-4 in the conference.

In other local college football action, the Fighting Irish host Louisville Saturday. Northwestern is at Purdue also on Saturday.
