Taylorville Posts Round Two Win

The Taylorville Tornadoes posted their first 10-win season in team history and also advanced to the third round of the football playoffs for the first time with a 36-15 win over Highland Friday night.

It was 15-14 Highland at halftime, but the Highland quarterback left the game due to injury in the third quarter. Taylorville, meanwhile, scored 22 unanswered points in the second half to post the victory.

Taylorville is now 10-1, with the lone loss to Effingham.

Other second round football playoff games are set for Saturday.
